One of four finalists to be the University of Tennessee's next police chief, UNR Police Chief Adam Garcia, has endured a letter of no confidence signed by 10 officers and four sergeants, as well as department scandals that include K-9 abuse and cops sending pornographic emails from university computers.

Do you think readers of this site (and the UNR Administration and the NCAA - not to mention the media) will really believe C. Groth when she says the head coach was released for performance? Really?

What about C. Groth, J. Perry, R. Lundin & others also “be released for performance?”

And just in case they try this ruse consider how our Wolf Pack fared in conference play (2011-12) under Groth's direction:

A number of these teams have finished similarly over the past few years under C. Groth so these are not just a 'rough' season. Our Women’s athletics long tradition of success seems to be waning.

Wolfie Jr., named “Capital One Mascot of the Year”, is the real winner.

So what do we glean from this…a moral that which one could clearly argue that Swimming is the 5th or 6th best team on campus this year out of 14?

The students, student-athletes and UNR donor base deserve more; more than C. Groth can give or deliver. So we will wait and see if they terminated the head coach for conference performance or for more serious allegations.

The RGJ (or some of the sports anchors) needs to start asking questions about the allegations against Mike Richmond, and why [Cary] Groth waited over a year to take action on sexual harassment concerns of female athletes.

They should force UNR to issue a statement.

Nevada Swim Coach Is Out

Nevada Head Swim Coach Mike Richmond is out, one year after serious allegations were levied against him and his program by several members of the swim team.

Athletic Director Cary Groth is keeping this quiet as there is no announcement on the athletic department website and no press release to the media.

However, the job opening is posted here.

This news appears to validate the swimmers, who held a team meeting with the administration last year voicing their concerns.

It also begs the question ... why did Groth wait a year when the swimmers had informed her and her administrators, Rhonda Lundin and Jean Perry, that they were at risk of retaliation and sexual harassment within the program?

To me, in not specifically putting Marc Johnson on the list for a potential long-term UNR Presidential Candidate, smells of smoke and refects in the mirror that maybe UNR just went through pretenses in looking for a new ethical college president.

The Regents would be too embarassed to level with a new recruit (hire) about UNR's level of of corruption, and therefore intended to keep a knowing family member in the enclave for safety and secrecy purposes.

I hope thosed that interviewed keep up with your web page. Not all of us are lost in the wilderness of smoke and mirrors that the cronies try so hard to maintain.

It disgusts me how corrupt our society is. I try to do the right thing, everyday, but lets just say I don't automatically trust the other person, with the blind faith I had when I was young.

In fact, I almost expect some type of negligence, corruption, or the other person turning their back. You can't just blindly trust administrators or the police.

This isn't cynicism as much as it is distrust by repeatedly seeing cover-ups and corruption.

I think you need a third eye and and a fourth eyeball in the back of your head.

Arizona State University Parts Ways With Athletic Director

Arizona State University and Athletic Director Lisa Love parted ways last week.

According to the Arizona Republic's staff writer Doug Haller, this was a popular move with the school's donor base.

Haller announced on his twitter account, that the day after Love's ouster, ASU "had a very big day in terms of booster donations."

If it was in athletics, the student athlete(s) should come forward through this blog as the correct first step to get the Nevada Wolf Pack back in the game in an effort to remove the looming black cloud cover-ups which seems to be common place under Athletic Director C. Groth.

Yesterday Jim Rogers (former NSHE chancellor) was interviewing Bart Patterson (chief counsel for NSHE, Mary Dugan's boss) on channel 4, in Patterson's new position as president of Nevada State College!

Here again NSHE shows its intellectual bankruptcy by choosing an attorney with no academic credentials, no teaching or research experience whatsoever, to head a university campus.

Mark Ghan, another NSHE attorney is a vice president at Western Nevada College (CC), and Dan Klaich (attorney) is the chancellor of the whole system.

See a pattern here?

Why does NSHE pick system attorneys to head up many of its institutions, instead of qualified academics with experience in higher education and research??

Is this to assist in covering a** when these institutions defy and ignore local, state and federal laws and launder money for their own selfish interests, as these attorneys have done in the past?

Who's next, Mary Dugan as UNR President??

She will clearly control and cover up first amendment, Title IX, and sexual harassment violations!

Is there any other state university system in the US that is led by attorneys rather than academicians?

I would imagine forcing them all (Kent Robison, Milton Glick, Adam Garcia, Alan Mentzer, Mary Dugan, and Cary Groth) on the same small boat that was docked, pulling up the oars, untying the boat, and then pushing them out to sea with my foot.

In an hour, I would re-visualize all of them out on the small crowded boat, shoulder to shoulder, miserable, and way far away where I couldn't see them, and they couldn't see the shore.

I visualized them all very lost.

I visualized them as no one left to entertain themselves but themselves!

I know that you have seen the news on Joe Paterno's death, but really, it is of no shock. I thought it was coming for weeks, the minute the news released by his family that he had cancer, and then the broken pelvis.

I think the guilt of his own actions exacerbated his cancer, for sure. Just like [the late-UNR President Milton] Glick got backed into a corner with his own actions and decisions and suffered a stroke.

While it is true that both Glick and Paterno were up in age, it is the precise moments of what they were caught up in, is what brought them down.

Glick may have lived into his 80's, had he chosen a different path, and Paterno until his 90's. Toward the end of Glick's life he was alone in looking in the mirror at his own reflection.

I think that did him in.

Federal prosecutors have identified 75 to 100 co-conspirators, including judges, attorneys and former police officers, at various levels of a massive fraud scheme involving Las Vegas Valley homeowners associations, the Las Vegas Review-Journal has learned.

Some 25 to 30 targets of the investigation are taking plea deals that will ensure their cooperation in the prosecution of as many as two dozen high-level players in the scheme.

The long-running investigation appears to be entering a new phase at the hands of the Justice Department lawyers from Washington, D.C., who recently took over the case.

The shift came in part because of suspicion that the U.S. attorney's office in Las Vegas had stalled the investigation.

The New York Times exposed the campus police, and what they are and can be capable of, beautifully.

I hope the readers take it to heart that there is a false sense of security on college campuses. Just because there is the Clery Act, it doesn't mean the campus police abide by it.

I have told many, you would not believe how corrupt the University of Nevada is, nor would you necessarily believe ONE incidence of campus police being the private police force to the college president.

They terminated [Athletic Director] Gene Bleymaier, which was not an easy decision or task and for going publicly in an effort of righting the ship to demonstrate to the NCAA and old & new conferences alike .... as having the highest level of standards for their athletic department – has a nice ring to it.

It was also refreshing to see Groth’s limited future in collegiate sports administration.

Reality is, Cary Groth should have been put out on the street long ago, we all know that.

Why hasn't she?

Either she knows something, there's some kind of timing issue, or maybe she's got some kind of litigation going herself?? Or...the usual. It's been suggested that she find a new home, sooner than later.

I think that's more probable, and they don't want to give the appearance of basically admitting they've allowed the malfeasance to happen at all, much less continue. That's the way they operate.

Better to have it look like everything's just fine, and she's decided to get back closer to her roots.

What would be REALLY interesting is if we knew that her underlings were job-seeking too!!

Responding to the reader, Groth's two highest ranking Associate A.D.'s both applied, but did not get, jobs out of state in the past 2-3 months. Groth has also been seeking employment outside the state.

However, her biography of corruption makes her unemployable to any respectable institution.

I think we're ruffling some feathers. Just wish I had some way of knowing who is viewing, and what they're viewing.

One thing I think is happening is the U of Michigan posts are generating a lot of interest. By whom I can only guess. But the flurry of hits is very coincidental to the new posts.

Someone's watching, and spreading the word.

Is UNR Police Chief Adam Garcia On The Run?

The website, "UNR-Where's The Beef" is reporting that UNR Police Chief Adam Garcia appears to be looking for a new home...out of state!

It has been rumored that Garcia has been told by the UNR administration to find employment elsewhere.

It is also no secret that Garcia has applied for a number of jobs throughout the nation the past few years.

The latest rumor has Garcia trying to get a job in Michigan. In response, a reader sent this message:

Now, the challenge is to get the Michigan folks to see the chatter on Chief Garcia on "The Beef".....and hopefully, the truth will prevail, and justice will be done.

Exactly what Adam would want. Justice, and the American Way. [sarcasm]

I wonder if that town has a University of Phoenix for Adam to be a big shot at and supplement his income?

By simply adding up attorney costs, you'll get a pretty good idea of what THEIR attorney costs are, and that's just in this case.

I'm guessing billable hours on their side is going to be no less than 1.5x yours...probably more like 2-4x.

As it was brought up somewhere else some time ago, the legal costs that were buried in journal vouchers (JV) in the Agriculture department is a tip of the iceberg.

Like all the endless and repetitive depositions....How much of a waste of taxpayer's money were those???

Each court appearance, each pleading, every deposition, every little phone call in 15 minute increments.....

Football Coach Chris Ault's $25k/yr raise is penny ante when it comes to what I bet they spend in a month on frivolous legal maneuvers.

I have yet to see legal expenditures in any accounting in any UNR budget report.

Maybe I've just missed it...or maybe it's given a quaint name.... Like MD Recharge (that's for [UNR General Counsel] Mary Dugan and her charge card).

Dugan's family must be proud. Her biography is defined by corruption. She is leading the worst chapter in a very bad story about UNR.

Maybe it's just me, maybe I don't understand the nuances.....And I don't profess to be real knowledgable in law enforcement or writing incident reports...Much less Police Blotters.

However, Officer T. Emmons [of the UNRPD] sure does get around.

Within 5 minutes he's gone from 401 W. 2nd St to 8301 Clean Water Way on April 25, 2011, at 4:00pm.

Does UNRPD have a WolfieCopter now??

In reviewing the current police blotters, I notice T. Emmons seems to make the rounds off campus. From the old Sheep Swimming Academy all the way down to the Redfield Ripoff.

Something RPD and Sparks PD could have handled? A broken fence and some graffiti??

One Saturday morning, about 6am, I was behind a UNRPD "canine" pickup from Double Diamond onto 395 northbound....lost him towards Moana because he was runnin' along at over 70mph.

What was UNRPD doing out west of 395 on Double Diamond at that hour, on a Saturday??

And what was UNRPD doing at 4:30 in the morning at Robb and Mae Anne?

We'll never know. And that's the way they like it.

"The Administration Knows Someone Is Watching Them"

There is another forum that addresses corruption by the UNR administration, "UNR - Where's The Beef".

The identity of the administrator of that site is a campus mystery. However, we have had the pleasure of interaction with this individual. This was a recent message we received (Reader Feedback) and wanted to share:

Out of curiosity, boredom, and a clear desire to avoid mowing the lawn...ran some stats on the "Beef".

Considering that the "Beef" forum really aims at a very small audience, I've received a surprising amount of inside information from anonymous, but subsequently verified sources.

I feel the "Beef" site has proven at least partially successful in its goal of forcing the administration to be more honest than it would have been without the "Beef's" influence.

Kind of like human caused global warming. We know we have an influence, it's just not measurable.

While my influence may not be measurable, I have some comfort in knowing that the administration knows someone is watching them, so it's not Springtime For Hitler In Germany for 'em...if you know what I mean.

So far, there's only a very few blogs or forums I've found that deal at the level, and to the degree that your blogs and the "Beef" do, and that list is headed up by your blog, and the "Beef", in that order.

In combination with the continuing dishonesty and corruption front you're addressing directly, it's truly a sad time all the way around.

(worse yet, the world didn't end on May 21st, and Scotty McCreery won American Idol. I give up.)

This message was just a little hiya and fyi for a Saturday I-don't-wanna-mow-the-lawn day.

I know you say "unbelievable," because what else can you say???

If I had called you personally, or approached you on campus, three years earlier before any of this had happened to you, you probably would have dismissed me at the get go as being some kind of a nut . . .

All of this has caused me and my family a real problem with trust, police, campus police, college presidents, you name it.

They aren't going to shine flashlights at my window, but gaslighting, trying to make one paranoid anyway they can, why yes.

Considering this group, the UNR Police (behaving like frat boys), Milton Glick and his cronies, absolutely nothing they do is unbelievable!

Look up the term "gaslighting." It is a legal court term.

When they go after someone, they are astute at "gaslighting."

You should include in your book how they use gaslighting to terrorize the innocent.

Your book will be a bestseller. A true story for the ages.....

We hear that the reason the staff is shrinking has more to do with an exodus of officers who refuse to work for UNR Police Chief Adam Garcia.

Garcia, of course, is a member of the UNR retaliation team. It is certainly not hard to believe that officers would want out from under his retaliatory leadership.

I thought you would find this story on the author, activist, and exposer of fraud and criminal behavior interesting. Her name is Paulette Cooper, and she wrote a book called, "Scientology Is A Scam."

Well, a group of Scientology operatives engaged in what was called, "Operation Freakout," to get her imprisoned, committed to an institution, and to self commit. The FBI got involved in her case.

There is nothing new under the sun.

The UNR Police, Milton Glick and his cronies, family, and lawyers attempted their own "Operation Freakout," to frame you with false evidence. They attacked you under various blogging pseudonyms in the newspaper, and we all studied who they were.

This Paulette Cooper has a degree in psychology, and she is an accredited author of many books. Like you, she was a beautiful, strong, intelligent person, who told the truth like it was to warn and help others.

My expectation would be that [Athletic Director] Cary Groth has been, as quietly as possible, looking for a new, 'exciting and challenging' position elsewhere. Much like [former UNR provost] John Frederick and [former UNR president] John Lilley were encouraged to do.

Why [Chief of Police] Adam Garcia remains is suggestive of the number and quality of skeletons in his closet. His biography is centered on corruption.

Through the years I've always been fascinated with the transparent UNR P.R. announcements that accompanied the removal of a VP or dean.... "....He's stepping down to get closer to his students..."

Fortunately for justice, the information age and rapid communications have enabled the huddled masses to see right through the charade and advise the rest of the "worker bees" (as UNR administrator Ron Zurek has referred to the little people) of the real background of their new candidate for Queen Bee.

Lilley, Garcia, and Frederick all got to feel the effects of that. Their story was exposed.

This trading off one bad administrator for another should stop. We pawn off a bad administrator to some unsuspecting university and send glowing reviews in hopes of unloading them, and they end up getting the job .... usually with a healthy pay raise.

Simultaneously, the lousy administrator they replaced is headed off to a different university, glowing reviews in hand .... and the cycle goes on, and on.

Of course there's some really good administrators out there, and UNR has some. I just wish there was more genuine loyalty to UNR, and not just the paycheck.

Habitually guilty people are easy to fluster, have you ever noticed that?

The compulsive liar will go into a rage, or get so trapped in his own games, he inadvertently turns over the specific information that you need by accident!

But again, I think it was his karma.

Sometimes all you have to do is take down two layers, for the universe to get the message, and they will de-mask the whole entire incident for you.

Keep exposing John Arrascada. Why on earth Cary Groth would want a man like that to represent her?
