Indictments For Perjury
I can't help but wonder if Cary Groth, Cindy Fox, Graeme Abel, Antoinette Marjanovic, Adam Garcia, Jean Perry, Tekla Martin, Mary Dugan, Chuck Hilsabeck, and Kent Robison (and the rest of the corrupt UNR crime family) are watching this story closely...
____________
Roger Clemens was indicted on perjury charges stemming from his testimony in front of a Congressional Committee in 2008. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine if convicted.
"Our government cannot function if witnesses are not held accountable for false statements made before Congress," United States Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr. said.
Today the message is clear: if a witness makes a choice to ignore his or her obligation to testify honestly, there will be consequences."
"There are people who think they can bluff their way through, and it's hubris ...This is taken very seriously.
We impeached a president for lying in a deposition. Nobody's above the law, including the president and All-Star pitchers," Rep. Tom Davis of Virgina.
"But this is really about coming clean or deciding to stay dirty. Roger Clemens had a choice. He went with a curveball. And it was a pitch we all saw coming."
